I am interested in umpiring girls softball. I started piching on select teams at 8 years old throughout highschool. 4 year letter winner & 4 year all conference pick. i would like to give some back to girls softball. Please let me know how to proceed. I live in the Omaha metro area.
Mallory–
I hope you had a great summer umpiring games. Mine has been super busy with Bren’s games, book promo. But still no excuse for not responding earlier.
What I’d do is just go to the Strike Zone or the Ultimate Baseball Academy–there are always coaches and organizers that could hook you up.
My go-to guy for softball is Doug Drummond. He made sure my softball chapter was accurate. He can be reached at 402.763-8567.
Finally, book will be paperback. The release is August 3.
Good luck, Mallory. With your background and experience, you should have no problem.
